When I first wrote about the March 12th Feed Me show earlier this year, I wasn’t really all that excited about it. The fact that the show is on a monday right after Aoki’s Deadmeat Tour hits the Paramount, coupled with the fact that I had recently seen FeedMe at Freaknight made me not too excited about this one. I still snagged my fan club presale tickets anyways, because I love FeedMe’s music so much, and because the show is at one of my favorite venues – Showbox Market. (Note: Stay up to date on Seattle electronica events by following the EmeraldCityEDM Events Calendar here)
My feelings about this show have since changed, and here’s why:
1 – The TEETH! The “With Teeth” tour will feature a ”full stage production consisting of a 20-foot wide set of LED teeth lighting up in a manic snarl to every drop and twist” looks pretty freakin sick! Check out the official tour video here, and here is a sneak peek at the teeth:
2 – AC Slater added as special guest/opener! I hear he’s something to see live…
3 – Escape from Magic Mountain is pretty freakin’ amazing. Every time I listen to it I just love FeedMe and the EP even more. And that’s not something easily said for me, as I’ve been a FeedMe/Spor fan for a loooooong time… Have a listen to the Escape from Magic Mountain EP for free courtesy of the FeedMe youtube channel playlist here.
So – have I changed your mind about this show? If so, you can RSVP on Facebook here and purchase tickets online here. See you at the show!
Announcement: Yuksek is coming to Neumos on March 28th! I’ve known about this one for a bit now, but was holding off on posting about it until I could figure out if this was a part of the Trashed event series – it is not, but is a weekday special event presented by Trashed Magazine. Woohoo for Yuksek’s first Seattle appearance!!!
March is shaping up to be a HUGE month for EDM shows in Seattle. Stay informed and know what’s happening by following the EmeraldCityEDM upcoming events calendar here.

Today’s featured track is the Datsik remix of Zedd‘s amazing track “Stars Come Out”. The Stars Come Out remix pack was released last week on DimMak records – apologies for the lateness on my part, I’ve been busy with a 3day ski weekend and work lately – but when a track stands out to me I will post it, late or not! I really love what Datsik has done to this track – he retained the original elements of the track while slowing down the tempo just a bit and added that signature Datsik wobbly screechy dubstep amazingness. Enjoy!
If you loved the original mix as much as I do, make sure to check out all of the remixes at this fabulous post at Dancing Astonaut, complete with streaming links and discussion/analysis of each remix. I also really enjoy the Terravita remix, but this Datsik remix is sickkkkkkk!
Get it:
Purchase on Beatport (Please remember to financially support your favorite artists!)
Free download c/o the MusicNinja (right click, save as)
Free Zippyshare download (tested)
Today’s featured track is the A-Trak remix of Martin Solveig‘s The Night Out. Fitting for a friday, this remix makes me want to jump out of my cubical and start dancing!
The “The Night Out” EP will be released in April 2012, but for now you can grab your free legal download of A-Trak’s February “Fools Gold” essential mix where the remix was originally debuted on 2/16/2012 here:

Today’s featured track is a complextro house tune titled ”Juggy Brodeltein” by Matthaiz, also known as Matt McArdle from Ontario Canada. He is an unsigned producer who states that “Music is my escape; my vacation. It both frustrates and influences me, sometimes simultaneously. I wake up to it; I walk, talk and breathe it. It is embedded in me as much as my passion for it. I experiment with different genres so there is a little something for everyone. Just another musician trying to make a mark.”
While I also really love Matthaiz’s remix of Moves Like Jagger, the track that really stands out to me is his latest creation Juggy Brodeltein – amazing dancy beat combined with some Mord Fustang-esque synths and arpeggios. Glorious dance energy here readers!
About the track, EmeraldCityEDM spoke with Matthaiz who commented:
“It’s actually based off something that made me laugh: There’s a guy who calls himself The Pronunciation Manual on Youtube that purposely pronounces words wrong. “Juggy Brodeltein” is how he pronounced Justin Bieber and I died laughing, so, I made a song from that” !
What’s next for Matthaiz? At the moment, he states that he is currently working on some remixes of HyperCrush tracks Werk Me and Bad Boyz, one of which I got to preview and I must say I’m excited to hear the final version.
Grab your free download of Juggy Brodeltein from Matthaiz’s Soundcloud page (link in player above) and head over to his facebook page to give him a “like”, this unsigned artist won’t be unsigned for much longer if he keeps up these beats!
Announcement: Zeds Dead and Araabmuzik are coming to the Showbox Sodo in April! The Living Dead tour will be stopping by Seattle, along with Omar Linx. Tickets will be on sale this Friday 2/17/2012 per the Showbox Sodo website event page.
Note – I noticed that the Living Dead tour poster shows Araabmuzik, but the Showbox Sodo page does not. I will update this page once it’s clear whether or not Araabmuzik will be at the show. Note that Araabmuzik will be at Sasquatch – check out my earlier post about Sasquatch here. Per the Showbox Sodo website event page and the Facebook event page, Omar Linx and XI will be supporting Zeds Dead on the Seattle stop, along with local support from the Wolfpack.
Did you miss out on USC Loves You! last Saturday? I unfortunately was not able to attend, but heard it was a sold-out, packed night of awesomeness at the Showbox Sodo.
