Makes Me Human begins our second season with one of the world’s finest: Arapu. A DJ & producer who really needs no introduction, this will mark his first return to Seattle since his b2b with Barac at Re-bar in 2016. If you missed that, you surely want to join in the fun this time. Arapu has been a foundational name in the international minimal scene for years as one of Sunwaves festival’s yearly must-hears, label head at Linear, and a mesmerizing producer with releases on Rawax, Raresh’s label Metereze, Pressure Traxx, the list goes on… With Arapu’s global underground credentials, we figured it only proper to partner with Selector Records & Tapes, Seattle’s favorite record store for electronic music. Sherman Crawford’s shop has quickly established itself as a required stop for music lovers visiting Seattle and this first weekend in November marks Selector’s anniversary celebration. A night of jazzy loops and teleporting grooves promises the perfect autumn treat for the dancefloor. Innerflight legend Kadeejah Streets will be on direct support to ensure a warm, psychedelic welcome. MMH resident Kinjo will kick off the night.
