HNTR (Maustrap): HNTR is an enigmatic figure hailing from the dark corners of Toronto’s underground electronic music scene. With over a decade of experience behind him, he has been a pivotal force in shaping the sound of Canada’s underground, pushing the boundaries of dance music with his unique, futuristic sound. He has released on some of the most respected labels in the industry, including Factory93, Armada and Deadmau5’s Mau5trap to name a few. He has also had the honor of touring with the Canadian superstar, and has garnered a reputation as a must-see live act. At the heart of his sound lies a darkness that is both alluring and foreboding. His music is a journey into the unknown, a soundscape that is at once futuristic and timeless.
Budakid: Kevin Huizing AKA Budakid is a Berlin based music producer/dj. Coming from a very musical family, it was only a matter of time before young Budakid started playing an instrument of his own. As a drummer in a drum ensemble, the soon-to-be producer/dj got his first taste of beats and he wanted more. Before long, Budakid landed his first residency in one of Utrecht’s most popular clubs. Although he wasn’t of legal age, several clubs asked him to perform and Budakid showed his promise by measuring up to peers twice his age. Influenced by the likes of Joris Voorn, Stimming, Trentemøller and acts such as Massive Attack, Radiohead and Caribou, the Dutchman developed a very melodic style of his own. A typical Budakid song has floating melodies, the right set of chords and some strong, energetic vibes all mashed together.
