Our Intro to Ableton Live Workshop will give you the basic tools to start making MIDI and Audio sounds in Ableton Live and leave the classroom feeling confident to start your musical journey. Topics covered: Demystifying Ableton Live’s Session View and Arrangement View, Exploring MIDI and Audio tracks, recording audio and software instruments, and more.

Meet Your Instructors, Mari Sullivan and Kate Falconer:
-Mari Sullivan is the Northwest Brand Manager at Ableton Inc. and is a producer, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist currently residing in Seattle, WA. In addition to writing and performing as an indie pop/electronic artist (MariGo), Mari is passionate about teaching music production, focusing on women/trans/nonbinary students in her pursuit to overcome gender inequality and underrepresentation of women and LGBTQ people in the technical fields of music making.
-Kate Falconer is a performer, educator and producer based in Seattle, WA. She is a Stranger Genius Award Nominee, a celebrated beat maker and producer, classical multi-instrumentalist and fierce performer at major festivals and venues across the Pacific Northwest. Working as a private instructor and teaching artist for almost 20 years has enabled Kate to share her love music, audio and digital production with people of all ages. She is specifically interested in increasing access and knowledge for people who might otherwise not have the opportunity or confidence to explore new facets of their musical experience.
