May 19th, Grooving for Good will be amplifying the National Alliance on Mental Illness, with all proceeds of the night going toward the nonprofit’s Seattle chapter! NAMI is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health nonprofit. NAMI provides advocacy, education, support, and public awareness so that all individuals and families affected by mental illness can build better lives. NAMI envisions a world where all people affected by mental illness live healthy, fulfilling lives supported by a community that cares.
We are honored to have Tommie Sunshine headlining this event! Tommie Sunshine is a constant advocate for wellness and mental health, being open about his 16 years of sobriety and former struggles with substance use. Tastemaker to tastemakers and musical-icon, Tommie Sunshine is renowned for his reputation of being consistently ahead of the curve while still standing firmly in the zeitgeist. He is an Adjunct Professor, founder of Brooklyn Fire Records, and this year takes the main stage of Ultra for the 8th consecutive festival in a row. Set apart by his iconoclastic productions, he is regarded as one of today’s most prolific remixers with well over 300 commissioned remixes to date.
