FEATURED LOCAL MUSIC: The Incantation by Kumarion

Today’s featured music is The Incantation EP released via Play Me Records by local bass music producer Kumarion. While it doesn’t include Kumarion’s recent hit Want It, if you’re a fan of middle eastern or Drum & Bass inspired bass music, you’re in for a treat!

Creating this body of work helped me discover my sound and the direction I want to take my project. It’s been an awesome journey so far, but it’s only the beginning of something really special. -Kumarion

The first and title track The Incantation evokes a similar sound and vocals as Want It, overlaid onto a middle eastern beat. The second track Lilith combines the middle eastern influence with Drum & Bass. Stuntin brings us back to the same leans and wobbles as The Incantation and Want It over a very catchy trap beat. Hold You closes out the EP with a return to more of a dubstep sound. Overall we are really impressed with this EP and can’t wait to hear it on a proper sound system. The sounds, beats, vocals, and rhythms are an impeccable combination representing the best of low end bass music and we can’t wait to hear what Kumarion produces next!
